I don't think he's trynna justify his actions but he's clearly having an internal struggle. he clearly has feelings for uke, but doesn't understand them or know how to act cuz of them. he said it himself, he doesn't know why he's saying it. I mean he's not stupid, he's aware that his usual act/behavior is not enough for uke. cuz clearly he's never had a relationship this far/deep? with other people he's been able to act like how people want him to act, but that's clearly not enough in this fucked up twisted relationship
