i'm not saying keep the kid gloves on, only that they should pull punches just enough that they don't almost kill each other. I get they wouldn't with villains and this is supposed to be a realistic simulation, but it is still a simulation. And I would prefer that Tetsutetsu not melt.
Also, i'm not sure Todoroki would be able to even use that move in a fight in that setting unless he was up against a truly major threat, purely for reason of endangering any civillians that maybe nearby.
I get what you're saying. If they don't train for real, they don't grow, and it endangers them in the field. But this is a brand new move that Todoroki hasn't refined yet, and if he lost control, the result could have been catastrophic. And it's not exactly a move that should be leveled against a classmate.
I don't want them to go easy on each other, and I'm not saying they can't take a few risks in their fights. But the risks should be measured and they should use more caution. It's just as important for a hero to control their strength as it is to wield it.
I guess what i'm saying is, i don't want to see anyone in an extended hospital stay, and story-wise, i know they all kinda have plot shields, but i like thinking of every situation as real when i read. Meaning i'm thinking about the very real consequences of these kids going all-out with their powers against each other.
