Someone 9 comments down from mine, said that maybe the gluttony rakshasha or wtv they're called is Han maru's dad
(I forgot the names of the monsters so I'll just call them rakshashas)
I also thought the same for a while because I couldn't figure out
1- How his dad died but he survived and absorbed gluttony
2- Why gluttony didn't kill him back then
There must bea reason, including the one I mentioned at the start
But it's a bit flawed because, if I recall correctly, gluttony didn't have the ability to clone himself, into a human, even less
If he could (by eating another rakshashas), how would he have a human child and is that even possible?
Maybe Han Maru's dad made a deal with Gluttony because he's more conscious but why would he do that? Why would he be absorbed by a weak human child if he was literally one of the strongest?
And even if he did make a deal, HOW DID SMALL HAN MARU ABSORB OR EAT HIM
HOW DO OTHER HUMANS EVEN GET THOSE POWERS IN THE FIRST PLACE???
BECAUSE, THEYRE JUST HUMANS, HOW CAN THEY BEAT STRONG ASS MONSTERS?????
t's also very clear that Han Maru's dad was in no doubt a bit crazy
Why was he so obsessed with han maru getting powers? Did he himself have that?
No but literally, why is HE dead instead of Han Maru?

also, I wonder if that other white haired Rakshasha is as much of a threat than the other ones that were against Han Maru because he seems to be very important

Its truly confusing why the gluttony acted that way... But its also odd on how 'he' might be Han Marus father. I think we will all gonna find out once that story is revealed to us. And i cant waitttt ヾ(☆▽☆)
As for your question on how humans get the power of Rakshasa. I believe this was mentioned on the very start of the story and was explained by Chana on Han Maru's first days. If I remembered it correctly though, she mentioned that human can get the power if the Rakshasa's blood were to mix into them. I imagine them like getting infected by zombie lols
Also, I think his father had a power as well. Remember, they are the very first people who encountered a rakshasa, together with Jeong Ildu? They are the soldiers who were sent to the mountain when the first rakshasa shows up. Jeong Ildu was even taken forcefully by the Space Rakshasa hahaha
Having the power though is dangerous, especially if it came from the higher beings, because their mind and body can be taken over by the rakshasa, like with what happened with Ildu. My theory though is this is only possible with the higher beings because they have their own will and consciousness

Yea but what's confusing is how they were able to exist as two separate living beings
I like the theory that he might be han maru's dad (cus that's just so cute) but we still don't know enough about the rakshashas and even less about the higher beings in my opinion
Also doesn't change the fact that his dad was probably horrible with how the flashbacks portrayed him
I think it's mostly because we only met 3(4 if we take in count the white haired one) of the 7(?) higher beings
And we only know that they're strong as hell and they have eyes and other super op skills
