I think calling it xenophobia or racism isn't right. but I am genuinely curious as to why they target english sites only. maybe it's bc Korean readers r lot more obscure w hiding the site or maybe it's bc there's many more illegal international readers than Koreans ones?

Sites with English trans have a larger following that is why. Meaning they are losing more income compared to illegal raws since no one reads there that much

Authors make close to 0 money on English translations even without illegal sites so the fact that they don’t target korean ones first has always seemed like total bs to me but what can you do lol

bro it's BECAUSE of illegal sites like this that authors make such little money on their English translations. illegal English translations have the largest following so of course they're going to target it. it's not bullshit, it's understandable lol

o shut up the reason you don’t see them calling out korean sites is because you don’t speak korean. those sites literally have a lawsuit against them, stop painting them as racist and xenophobic just because you don’t like that they no longer want you stealing from them too

nope, they make 0 money even without illegal websites, im pretty sure you're a new fan and dont remember the whole english controversy from a few years back. authors make about 30% of their net profit in korean versions and about 5-10% in the english one (as of a few years back, data might be slightly off/might have changed recently). even the ks author said she didnt make any profit off of her english translation, inform yourself.

anyway, they have every right to sue/be mad, they just dont sue the korean ones like ever even tho those have a much bigger following than english ones (surprise surprise) for reasons people cant really understand.

This makes a lot of sense since they are uploading via third party. I think it's more of an issue of, their publishers (cursed lez***) should provide a steady income to their authors. Lol they really try gaslighting and sending these snowflakes
