I have so many bones to pick with this story. I started this story thinking the romance was gonna be light fluffy and that everyone was gonna get a happy ending. Boy was I wrong. Author did both us and the main characters dirty by putting them through all that shit. Especially the ending of Carzaline and Shirley love story. They did not deserve that. Also we never get to find out why Collin is the way that he is and why he never truly dies plus the fact that philippa had to endure his death countless times and being unable to save him on top of having to wait anywhere from decades to hundreds of thousands of years just to see him again was simply too tragic. And don’t get me started on Lily- she was alone for almost the entirety of this. To her Philippa was both a sister, a mother, a friend and her master and the same goes for Collin, he was her father, brother, friend, and family and supported her when she dreamed of reaching for the stars(her wish to go to school and learn) regardless of what Philippa thought or wanted of her.I love Lily’s ending and her babies but the fact that Collin doesn’t recognize her(as the mother through her) babies irks me Bc some of them look like carbon copies of lily.The ending is beautifully executed but vague- is that redhead Philippa?or just another red haired woman that’s will potentially bring Collin happiness?. We don’t know, but it was wonderful it made me laugh, cry ,yell out in anger, feel empowered as a female identifying person, and represented as someone part of the lgbtqia+ community through the relationships of these characters.They made me feel proud And emotional Bc it was written and narrated in a way that I understood what these characters were going through and as if I was right beside them.There are definitely some major and minor plot holes but what story doesn’t. The plot wholes aren’t really noticeable bc u get too caught up in the story and the characters relationships. This was incredibly enjoyable and would 10/10 recommend anyone read it,
