what some people fail to understand that a toxic relationship is wrong whether the other person has a dark childhood or trauma. Yes, it's understandable, Jiwoon is not doing this to abuse or use Suha or anything, he's just worried. but it's still toxic. a lot of people have these burdens and that doesn't justify them locking up their partners.
