As someone that watches corpo vtubers, (similar fan mindset) yes shit like this does happen irl. The dumbest one was when two vtubers were bantering during game streams, they were roasting each other. Three streams later quite a few people actually believed they were fighting lmao. They had to stop bantering for a while coz of it. People do be like gossiping btches.
I've seen so many of these stuff in kpop that nowadays if i see someone being super gay, i just know they're just super straight irl
