I feel bad for Parker tbh. I feel like he was an important character at the beginning and then Curtis came into the picture and the author chose to make him the throwaway character/comic relief. Like even his kids with little bai are an after thought

This is giving me a similar vibe to a manga I read a long time ago and the end was a train wreck and but it was a lot more action

That's the point to draw out emotion from the reader they give them a goal or a promise they were unable to accomplish before their death in order to make it sadder
