we don’t know if it was S/A. we need more context before making assumptions, it isn’t even clear if isak was sleepy/tired, actually sleeping, fell asleep during (and redhead didn’t know because you can’t really tell with your face buried in another guys ass) or just had his eyes closed. i’ll reread rq and double check.

i was super wary of this because of how muheun (the top) was a lot older than seungju (the bottom) and was a guidance figure towards him. immediate red flag, but i ignored it because i wanted to give it a chance.
fast forward, i dropped it for a bit and read the most recent chapter and it’s rape. if someone revokes their consent during sex and the other one continues, it is sexual assault. the writing of muheun is all over the place and it’s another example of excellent idea with subpar execution.
TL;DR: knew this was gonna end up creepy bc of the age gap, ofc there’s S/A

Because they wanna sell, and they learnt that's the path to achieve so... They fear the actual buyers might find it 'boring' instead of interesting and thrilling. They even gain more popularity when something has more bad reviews compared to good ones in this field, and as they mostly are a bit 'conservative minded' the story between two males has to be on the toxic/tragic side more than on the healthy or romantic aspect of the plot... or, it is simply how the author decided to go for and it's just their way to write and create their own work... Who knows... Tho' that's what I think, I might be wrong... But I am sad too~
There are plenty of good and healthy stories, sadly, I am starting to not find anymore anything else lately so... Here I am, complaining in stories I shouldn't evn read because they just aren't what I usually like ( ̄∇ ̄")..
╥﹏╥ ┗( T﹏T )┛(/TДT)/ヽ(`Д´)ノ

its very unfortunate, but everything you've said is true. i also find myself reading stories where the dynamic of the couple isn't to my liking simply because the storyline is just too good; "the foul" was one such manhwa but the plot has been dragging on with too little character development recently. its such a shame though, i really wish the manhwa teams wouldn't do the adaptations like this bc there's so many which are doing really good even without toxic dynamics like "no moral" and "unfair love affair" but i digress. (︶︿︶)
reread the end of the chapter, isak was awake and had his eyes open. he moved his legs down. while we obviously don’t know the full context, there could’ve been coercion, but they were both drunk. i hope and think it wasn’t sexual assault. i will be dropping this if so.
it still doesn’t make it okay… assault can still happen when you’re awake
no shit. that’s common sense. can you people read? where did i say rape only happens when you’re asleep? hello???
i used clarifiers so this shit wouldn’t happen but STILL.
• we don’t know the full content
• it was * LIKELY * consensual. not it was. but it is possible it was.
again. if that was S/A, i am dropping this manhwa. as a sexual assault survivor i do not take this shit lightly.
You’re right that we don’t have the full context, but even if Isak’s eyes were open, that alone doesn’t prove he agreed to it, no one said it was definitely rape, but it looked like assault because he seemed lifeless, very drunk, and possibly half-asleep, and even if he drunkenly said something like “eat my ass,” that doesn’t guarantee real, conscious consent.
Saying it’s likely consensual is fair if he was aware and moving, it’s also fair for people to question it given how out of it he looked, because legally and ethically, if someone is too drunk, passed out, or unconscious, it’s almost always considered non-consensual.
i questioned it initially, but seeing how the author has handled dark topics like this before (appropriately, i’d say) and how little context we were given, it’s more likely than not it was consensual. admittedly, i could be just being hopeful. it’s also even more complex because they’re both shitfaced.
him looking lifeless isn’t unheard of after sexual activity, there are a few panels where jinhyeong looks that way.
