Is the omega rlly the top? Cuz the whole point of omegaverse is that omegas can get pregnant. I've got nothing against the omega topping but it just kinda throws the whole omegaverse theme lopsided imo
The question we should be asking is the Omega really an Omega. But if so I have no problems with that, they may switch places which is rare in yaoi. Plus the author may surprise us either way.
uuhhh, i thought the point of omegaverse was that everyone could get pregnant. omegas actually have a lower chance of getting pregnant compared to the other classes. omegas just make everyone horny
That's very true, I forgot about that part completely. I do however like how the story is reversed, where the Alpha is a seme and the Omega supposedly weak is actually calculative and strong.
It's actually rlly strange the way some authors write it. Like everyone has a different way of using the theme which can confuse readers but they usually put stuff like an explanation at the beginning for most of them. Anyways, the main way authors write it is that omegas - even males - get pregnant a lot more easily and they're the only ones who can produce alphas. There are some variations where alpha x alpha couples can also produce alpha children and a few where even betas are able to (albeit rarely) but omegas are always bottoms because of their "ability" to produce more easily and the fact that when they're in heat, they're kind of unable to do anything except beg for sex (￣∇￣") again, I don't have anything against it, it's just that it's bizzare to call it omegaverse when they're ignoring the whole reason omegas bottom - they're looked down on as inferior breeders
I think they're trying to "break the standards" of a/b/o. Honestly, if every a/b/o fit the same mold, it'd be very boring and the trope will never mature if these other aspects are never explored.
Also, saying "the point of omegaverse is that omegas can get pregnant. . ." is kind of like saying "women have sex to get pregnant, so it's weird if they're penetrating" (I know that's not what you're intending but it's kind of like that haha, at least from my view).
I guess I worded that kind of wrong but like the main conflict is usually that they're inferior because they're bottom, therefor, if you take the fact that the omega is the bottom out, why are they inferior? Im bit saying being bottom is inferior but it's considered that which was why I thought it threw off the omegaverse theme.

Someone FINALLY said it. But I think you're being a little harsh with Kyoko. Since she HAS been holding it in for so long. And she THOUGHT she was alone. Because she certainly wouldn't look like that with YASHIRO of all people present. So I don't think this was as out of character as you seem to be implying. ^_^;
And it's some times easier for someone who is NOT involved to notice things that you're friends or even just people who are familiar with you might miss. But I did NOT expect it to be the guy who up to this point seemed so MELLOW and for it to be so quick at that. That is the reason I'm so shocked especially because of how seamlessly Nakamura sensei worked that into the plot despite all that.
Tbh I was on the fence about this whole thing cuz I rlly hate manipulation in yaoi. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that someone lied to their "loved one" in order to gain their affections. Thats why i was pretty happy with ch 6 cuz the uke ended up finding out the whole thing was planned out which led the seme to finally tell him his true feelings.
I feel like yuuki has always been the more giving one in the relationship. He always gives 100% of himself while Akira has always been hesitant. It's sad but I still want them to end up together cuz yuuki loves Akira anyways. I rlly want yuuki to be happy.
Okay I just saw the raws for ch 248 and I'm freaking out. It starts w kyoko finishing up her audition, the producer approving, etc. etc. Then BAM. we switch over to the president who is visited by REN. We see them conversing at the usual bar when the president flicks over a picture to ren. DUN DUN DUN que screaming cuz this picture is of SHO KISSING KYOKO IN THE ALLEYWAY!!! Ren's eyes then proceed to widen/flash and THE END ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER WHY. I had totally forgotten about the potential of the kiss to provide development cuz kyoko totally ignored it then proceeded to cry in men's arms but DAMN. Alas, we all know how this author is so we're prob fan need to wait another 6 chapters/months or so to see ren to do anything about this ┗( T﹏T )┛this has been your spoiler for ch 248 - BooBoo OUT
