I get the comments furious of the mc reaction but if you see from his pov his reaction actually valid. He already been hurt by the ml in the past, what make you think he'll move on easily after the ml became good to him? I'm quite furious as well but it's understandable why he can be manipulated easily. He only have his son left and he's the only reason why he's still alive. If not, he already been dead long ago.
