If they are not fated pair, how do you determine if he or she is the fated pair of the omega? Isn't the reaction of kaoru whenever yuka is near the sign that yuka is kaoru's fated pair? （￣へ￣）
I think they are fated too, because the reaction of Kaoru was stronger stronger than Taiga. Not only that Yuka reacted to Kaoru too and Taiga only started to enter in heat because Yuka was affected by Kaoru.
I think Kaoru wanted to prove Yuka that he liked him not because they were fated but cuz Yuka is Yuka, even though the plans were dstroyed by Taiga.

If you're talking about Yuka saying that, i think he said because he thinks Kaoru did that because he was forced to save him. If you're talking about what sensei said, well i though it was confusing, but if even they are not fated i think they eill be together forever. She said most of the alphas don't resist fate, but that also means a small number can resist. But in my opinion they are fated cuz they had stronger reactions to each other. When Yuka was with Taiga and his friends alone he didn't react to Taiga, but he reacted when he Approached Kaoru.
I think they had that conversation in case they were not fated, there was a possibility that Yuka wasn't his fated pair, but since Kaoru liked him he asked advice from sensei. Well, they talked after knowing the results of the exams. Their stong reactions started after the exams, so that's why i think they are fated.
One more thing, i know some people wil say but he was in heat when Taiga touched him and when he ran in the two betas. Well that's true, but if you rember he started to have the heat after geting close to Kaoru, and when Taiga touched him, Kaoru was there and the reaction that Kaoru has for Yuka is stronger than Taiga. Taiga was in the same class so he always was near Yuka and didn't react but Kaoru reacted stronger only for being near When he ran in the two betas he was already in heat from before.

He maybe thought he was an alpha because of his personality. i remember reading one manga amout omegaverse that all of his workmates thought he was an alpha (they're a working adults) because of his personality and achievements in his work (omegas don't have the same privilege in a company as compare to an alpha).

Because in my understanding, Yuka accepted Kaoru's explanation because he was lonely after finding out he was an omega and Kaoru was the inly one there for him?
