anyone wanna just sit down and discuss this psychological ass comic cause there’s SO MUCH to break down, and idk why i just like doing this typa stuff, i’m procrastinating to avoid doing homework, and not to mention i’m bored as hell.
first topic: sangwoo and yoonbum’s relationship- should they be shipped?!!
my input: imo no, not at all. i understand the perspectives of people who do but this isn’t a bl. it’s not romantic in the slightest. the thing that is enthralling about their relationship in my opinion is the sort of obsession, and the push and pull between them. while reading i found them interesting and wanted to see how their relationship progressed, but i didn’t ship them, not in the slightest, they just always kept me on edge and i never felt comfortable or stable enough to ship them. trying to ignore the fact they’re both killers (that would be too much for me to get into rn and i don’t want to steer away from the main topic rn or procrastinate even more), they’re both still not even slightly mentally stable enough to be in a relationship, especially not with each other. any other thoughts?
To be honest, I don't have a final answer whether or not if I ship them, it's always yes and no for me. Like no because as you said, they're both very mentally unstable to even think of a relationship. But then yes, because they did have their moments at times (even though Sangwoo was always an asshole) and the last chapter proves that he did have love towards Yoonbum. It just the way how their relationship was slowly getting better but then made a downturn SO FAST was just a little bit crazy
They have zero moments. The author herself said Sangwoo just used bum as a vessel to satisfy his sexual frustration.
Sangwoo is nor gay, not bi. He saw how his father abused his mother, and continued doing that to someone whom he saw as a motherly figure (he used to dress him in women's clothing, remember?).
These stories are made to portray abuse and Stockholm Syndrome. I wish there were more out there, but also that their authors explicitly explained what they wanted to convey, because no matter what people believe, normalizing the romantization of abuse makes people not recognize their own abuse. Sadly, I talk from experience here.
I am so sorry to hear you suffered from abuse, and I hope you are okay now. But I completely agree, they never had ‘moments’, Sangwoo was using Yoonbum and Yoonbum just had an obsession ( Stockholm Syndrome ) and I think the ending was satisfying because they both got what they deserved and I have no problems with the ending, though I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry and wanted more, but now I think about it, the ending was good left as a cliffhanger because i would feel a bit empty and wouldn’t have the love I do, for this manhwa if it wasn’t for its unique story and on-edge scenes. It wasn’t love, it was an obsession, and I will say it time and time again, because people need to understand that this isn’t romantic nor love, it is just an incredibly good psychological thriller I would reread any day
I've watched a few vids on like yk sort of over viewing this series. My input is that NO ABSOLUTELY NOT they should not be shipped. but it is completely normal to feel remorse or even the slightest bit of "maybe they can reach normal, actually be in love". That's the whole point yk? you're supposed to be in bum's situation, yk, stalkhom syndrome, no they should not be shiped and I think it's fucking weird when people do but it's completely normal to have those feelings whilst reading.
gabriel literally hates him with all his guts, and as he should tbh. how tf do they have good chemistry when their two emotions towards each other are literally just obsession (on the vampire’s side) and hate (on gabriel’s side obviously) like you guys will be like “omg but he has way more chemistry with the vampire” when you obviously don’t even care about the vampire as a character enough to remember/know his real name... i-. all you care about is the sex, which isn’t even good btw, he was literally raping him...be honest w/ yourselves, you liked the explicit stuff, which i’m not hating on your for, some of you came here for the sex because it is a yaoi...HOWEVER, i’m literally just praying that some of you wake up and realize that it’s rape and that they shouldn’t end up together, and that paolo (vamp’s name btw) is a suckish character who should not and will not end up with gabriel.
bruh why do i always get second lead syndrome. lmao i just think it’s something about how they just want to just be appreciated and loved (by the main character) and i feel bad lol. i just always fall for an innocent good-hearted, or sauve and sarcastic sl that has a good/easily likeable and lovable personality, and has unrequited love, and just wants the main character to be happy in some way ╥﹏╥
so i believe that he either 1. he imagined it, here’s why, we can clearly see he’s been not only hallucinating but also hearing things from his trauma in the last few chapters, we also see in the last panel when “Gyu-Wool” says “Y-you never learn do you?” but you can clearly see that’s not even a chat bubble, it’s something being narrated/going on inside his head, not actually out loud. That would mean the ‘thud’ is is probably him fainting/passing out from shock or hitting the real store clerk because he thinks it’s actually Gyu-Wool.
Or 2. It was actually Gyu-Wool there but Jinyoo hit him and knocked him out. In his head at the end Jinyoo says “who knew this one phrase...could make me feel this resentful” meaning that Jinyoo feels so angry from seeing Gyu-Wool that he straight up hits him. This could also go along with my first theory because it could mean Jinyoo feels so angry he hits the hallucination of Gyu-Wool without thinking.
Regardless, it can’t possibly be him getting kidnapped again, the other dude in the PUBLIC store was legit just right there, he would obviously see the struggle if Jinyoo was getting kidnapped, also people would probably recognize Gyu-Wool’s face because as we see earlier, he’s in a lot of news articles with his face literally plastered on the cover. Speaking of that, dude literally HAS to be arrested, he probably ordered those 9 lawyers from his jail cell, there’s absolutely no way he could be roaming free, lmao. his ass is in jail for sure. people convicted of crimes like kidnapping, assault, and rape with evidence and witnesses aren’t just allowed to roam free regardless of whether or not the trial happened already. lol.
anyways, Gyu-Wool is def not kidnapping again, it makes absolutely no sense, that was just a mysterious, misdirect ending to a comic that’s literally meant to be that way, psychological and mystery. anyways, goodnight lol ignore my rant
tl;dr there’s absolutely no ducking way Gyu-Wool ever managed to kidnap Jinyoo lol, the last chapter was simply meant to be a mysterious misdirect.
okay i actually remember that being confusing lol. but basically the whole sentence says “Just as Gyuh-Wool had hoped, Jinyoo was unable to escape from his grasp for quite some time after the incident. With that some time being...a mere couple of months”
so basically, assuming that Jinyoo being ‘unable to escape Gyuh-hool’s grasp’ means that being IN his grasp means that Jinyoo is still thinking about him and basically “under his control” still in a sense because of all the mental trauma he’s caused him.
so essentially the sentence says, ‘Gyuh-hool had hoped he would stay in control of Jinyoo after the incident, and he did, but only for a mere couple of months longer’ meaning that after a couple of months, he was no longer under his grasp and control. although we don’t know why, i’m assuming it had something to do with what happens the store considering that’s what it leads up to.
idk, it’s worded very weirdly but if you look closely and break it down that’s what it says. it would be very different if the words were ‘only able to escape his grasp for a couple of months’ but since it says that he’s only UNABLE to escape his grasp for a couple of months, then he’s free. you know what i mean? i kind of went off track lol.
the fact that he’s being possessive and not angry rn is scaring me. like after he found that card like they’re in misunderstanding of the century rn and he’s not even that angry towards him.
