If there was an antidote and the mother knew about it (according to that town chief) then why the fuck did the mother not safe the father after he got poisioned???? The whole point was that they were so in love that they took that horrible curse and now you're telling me there was antidote AND SHE DIDN'T USE IT????
as I remember in novel, her mother did not know, she asked the chieftain but he never tell the antidote, if she knew, she will not hesitate to give it to him even if it cost her life

exactly, the chieftain was in love with her, and he was despising the view of her woth her husband so he refused to tell her about the antidote until eventually the husband died. The chieftain told Roha (the mug's name later in the novel) when he was dying.
