Although she's naive, she has done nothing but try to be on Helga's side since day 1. Helliane is just as much of a victim as Helga in this situation, and arguably has it worse. She was swapped at birth, then taken from the family she grew up with and loved and thrusted into the cruel and unfamiliar world of nobility. Constantly compared to Helga and belittled because you aren't as much of a super genius as her, crushed under the weight of the expectations of your new parents who tell you that you should hate Helga, but you know that's wrong, and despite being weak and naive, you do everything you can to support her. You dedicate years supporting her because you know what your parents did to her wasn't right, only to be cast away in the end because you share the same blood as the people she hates, despite doing no wrong yourself. It's like this story has a hate boner for Helliane, literally any chance it gets, it her down to show off how special Helga is. I was literally only reading this for her because the story fell off, but I dropped it after seeing how they treated her as a character. Hell, I only came back to remember what Helliane looks like to fantasize about her getting the happy ending she deserves
