I don't get how people see this as kei being a transwoman and fetishizing transgender people, it's not, kei said multiple times that they don't want to be a man nor woman, they just want to be themselves meaning they might be non-binary. Yohei help them become this way so they tried to help yohei escape this gender role or how people of gender should act, If you even feel wrong in a body, if you're less or too feminine/masculine it's okay, just be yourself. You don't own anyone but yourself, treat yourself better. I think this is what mitani suffered, she felt like she wasn't a "woman" enough to kei that she felt wrong for the way she is because kei doesn't like her even tho she tried her hardest. It really disappointed her when she discovered kei was that way, because it felt like she won't ever be good enough for kei to like her. So she wanted to spite kei by literally manipulating and forcing yohei.
It's been a while since something made me so infatuated and interested. Turns out Mari has D.I.D (disociative personality disorder). And yes by many evidence I think Mari is queer.
