I'm sorry cuz there's no potential for LITC to have a bad ending, Just because an author made a psychological horror that is so well written, doesn't mean it that, that element will sweep to all of her works her first manga was literally fluffy smut and there was so horror element to it whatsoever, you aren't considering that writers can bend their own creative writing.
And if LITC were to end on a bad note, it will be bad because all of that build up of character and story only for them to end up absolutely alone when there's no slight hint that the characters will have a tragic end is so downgrading. Paskim herself said indirectly in an interview that LITC is a story of two characters healing from their past. To end this story with a bad ending will lose the whole purpose why LITC was created.
Imma say it again cuz I wanna get my main point straight, just because an author made a super scary manwha doesn't mean it will be the same as all their works. I'll give you more examples of authors that differ genre in their works yet all is beautifully written and was made well-intented.

I remember reading this manga after watching chainsaw man back in 2022 because I really wanted to see other fujimoto's works, now after watching the movie, I'm now reminded how I was in awe back then for this manga, it was so beautiful and relatable as an artist myself and I really love fujino and kyomoto. I can't express much in words but this manga really touched my heart in to its inner core.
Shittt like I think I know why Skylar is working his butt off school, idk why it took me so many rereads to finally understand but now I do.
Skylar was a troubled kid back then, playing games with his friends in class, basically a "bad student" because of minwoo. And we all know what happened between them.
Skylar felt tremendous guilt for causing trouble for his mom, they literally moved across the country just so Skylar can feel comfortable in a place. That's why he studies hard and does his best at school to enter good universities, to make his mom proud and also to be "a good person" like go to a good university and get a great job. He also studies hard as payment for his mom's and sister's sacrifice for him.
I can't really express more into words on how I think why Skylar studies hard, so I simplified it very much.

I ain't gonna lie, Skylar was being a freak for picture -stalking chan-il like that but we all know his reason for that too, while cirrus just really wanted to mess with Skylar, only to be surprised Skylar wasn't the person he thought Skylar was only to fall in love with him which is ironic, if anything y'all should understand that both of them are morally gray characters and both have their own trauma and reasons for their actions. Not everyone is an angel or excuseable.

I forgot the mention Skylar "sa-ing" minwoo, it's clear both teenagers were drunk which was minwoo's influence, Skylar was so drunk to the point he kissing him, only to realize what he had done, he was sorry for it because he didn't mean to kiss him. After that, minwoo with all his power made Skylar sn outcast at school, beating him up and everything, Skylar was even willing to kill him self so he won't trouble minwoo.
