I kinda hated their kid. Artistcally her design sucks, the story of her conception and her overall storyline were both boring and completely uninteresting. Plus, it never truly felt like she had a bond with her parents as their daughter, or that they bonded with her as her parents. It's like basically, she had been groomed from birth to take over the throne, so that they could retire early. She has no other purpose. I mean, shit--It's like they retired while still in their 30s! Anyway, I really loved Wolfgang's little half-brother, Dandelion who was tragically killed. I was hoping that Wolfgang's own child would at least be half as likable as Dandelion was.

They've always looked like a beautiful couple, and the ending seems lovely and romantic, but something about their conversation and interactions always feels a bit awkward. With his constant smile and charm I never feel like I can trust Ash. He makes me feel uneasy. And poor Carlyle always appears to be uncomfortable too. They don't seem like a couple who know each other very well or can speak to each other casually. It's as if they're still in the early stages of dating. Perhaps the problems they've had in the relationship, especially the recent ones are one of the main reasons for this. And maybe that's why a lot of readers are saying the ending feels like it came too early. Anyway, the art work is great and I still enjoyed this regardless.
It's kinda sad when you compare the latest artwork to the artwork from the very first chapter of this whole saga. It's really poor in comparison.
From texture, to lighting, layers, and detail--The latest artwork is flat, lacks depth, has bad line work, and has simplistic and cartoonish proportions. The characters also lack intensity and depth in their facial expressions. I really hate the latest art style, and I'm bummed this story is going out like this. It doesn't help that the storyline has been going downhill for a long while either. This manga used to feel and look cinematic in quality, but I don't think it's been that good since Shin was stricken with an illness. When he got sick it was like the beginning of the end. The storytelling became stagnant and totally not worthwhile.
