the language used here can be a bit archaic and stiff, I've never really seen it used so much in a historical BL before. but I'm trying to learn Korean through raws so I get how hard it can be to make sense of language that even a native speaker might have difficulty with. If anyone needs any help understanding just lemme know. Happy to help.
We took literature in high-school and before that I was an avid reader of classical stories. Thankfully decades of exposure to this sort of writing style makes this webtoon a breeze to read and understand. I love it actually! Wish more period stories would do this, it makes the experience more immersive.
we're thinking alien, right?
Sounds more demon than anything. Considering his sclera was changing to black and he could grant wishes/desires for a price, I'm inclined to think demon. Trading oneself for your greatest wish/desire is very typical of a demon. He also said he doesn't have "human" form, so that just goes towards the demon aspect.
Ah. I see what you mean. I kind of like the fact that he's stoic but so obviously obsessed with the uke. It feels more as though he is flushing out feeling for the first time (emotionally). As though he was just kind of existing and doing his thing as per what he was but shut off. Going through the motions until something or someone woke him up. There aren't many BL out there with traditional demons. They're all oni, or spirits or gods. This is an interesting change. Have you read "Dance With The Devil"?
it is such an unusual change but also we're reading and talking abt it so I think it's working lol. can't wait to find out more. so I checked out that comic and immediately rejected it because I hated the art, reevaluated, and decided to place some trust in you an internet stranger (very dangerous) and it is so clever and fun and not really sexy but it's just so inerestingly written that I have chosen to ignore the lack of pretty.

if it makes sense, and this is like the classic INTX introvert x ENFX extrovert magnetic draw here. and it's been slow, and natural. they themselves probs don't even know how they feel. and more importantly it doesn't mess up the plot or become plot points itself. just the sorta casual peppering of feels over almost 300 ch. i can accept
