Man people like you annoy me- it's like you miss the point of the story completely.

You aren't supposed to pick a side here, that's not the point of this story. It's 2 people with extremely unfortunate cards given in life trying to make do with what they've been given.

I'd stop reading the story if I was you because you seem to miss the point of it completely and are so quick to judge. There is massive reason as to why, we as readers, have not been given the full story right away.

I dont think he "chose" willingly to be a slut. If he remained in that house alone, he surely would have ended his life by the time karel reached him. Sasya was always insecure for the reason being his past and karel's couisn didnt help much either by always telling sasya to not get close to karel and know his place and all that. I imagine sasaya and karel being much happy with each other if his damn cousin hadnt interfered and that russian king's wife or whoever that is. Sasya knew that he had to go and dance to get away from his insecurities and be preoccupied with it and when he reached paris he knew that he had to be this slut so that they could scout him and give him an opportunuty. Though he was living better and not trying to kill himself like before, it came with a cost as we all saw. SO PEOPLE ITS NOT KAREL'S OR SASYA'S FAULT ITS THAT DAMN COUSIN, THE RUSSIAN KING AND HIS WIFE'S FAULT. IF YOU WANNA BLAME ANYONE ITS THEM!!
