Okay, so I'm searching for this manga, where the protagonist was a suicidal girl, who avoids looking at peoples' faces and spends most of ber time at home, watching rented videos.
At some point she decides to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge, only to wake up after the incident and to find out, she was saved by this guy from the video rental shop, who ended up dying in the process.
She then visits his home and finds a kid (idk what kind of relationship they had) and the rest I can't remember.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Rape is never justified but let's put this into context:
Yeonjo needs a therapist and right now, he doesn't really have much of a will to live besides for revenge (which he has failed at time and again and might have lost the appatite for).
Also Yeonjo is on the precipice of realizing his feelings for Hee-ryang (which is why he has been unable to kill him) but is currently in denial about them.
Yeonjo has attempted to murder Hee-ryang on several occasions and threatened to hurt himself to hurt Hee-ryang by proxy.
Hee-ryang believes to be in love and isn't at the stage where he can let go of someone he believes to love and let's face it, he hasn't loved anyone in a long time or maybe ever.
Also there is a part of him that believes that without him and the revenge against him , Yeonjo WILL lose any will to live he has left, which he is trying to avoid by festering his resentment.
Sure, all this was caused by his own actions but he lives in a cruel world and from what we have seen from him, he has been thorugh very much at a very early age. So where is he supposed to have learned emotional maturity, clear communication and compassion from?
From what we have seen in his internal monologues, I believe there is a deep respect in Hee-ryang for Yeonjo, a guilt he isn't yet ready to face and, again, his belief that festering his hatered is going to keep Yeonjo alive (and ofc he's horny) but sex is the only way he is able to communicate these feelings and intentions.
Also is you were in love for the first time in you life and the person you trusted above all tried to poison you, would you be able to forgive them? I don't think many would and while he has chosen extreme means of punishment, they are (to some extent) an expression of his pain and regret.
We are dealing here with very, very flawed, immature individuals on both sides and years of unresolved feelings and, if you ask me, the author has set them up very well.
Sex is usually there for the porny content in Yaoi. But here, at least in my opinion, it actually serves a plot point. (It may be a bit too drawn out but we ARE in Yaoi after all).
I also appreciate the dynamic we have been set up with. Usually historical Webtoon Ukes are pushovers simply because they're not in positions of power.
But Yeonjo shifts this narrative. Hee-ryang is besotted with him and whlie he bears the brunt of his physical punishment, it's clear that he does it because Yeonjo who has weaseled his way into his mind and heart and is able to, by hurting himself, hurt Hee-ryang.
There needs to come a turning point for borth of them sooner rather than later but I find their actions (despite extreme) rationally understandable and sound regarding the context and time they live in.
You put this in such beautiful words really, and I agree to your opinion these are very complex characters with loads of unresolved emotions like you said.
