The whole darkness plotline was pretty shit. All I wanted to see was the tree continuosly evolve and interact with its surroundings. Thank gos everything's back to normal now. I'm finally enjoying the recent chapters.
I don't understand why they went with their direction. The story started off focused on him being a doctor but by chapter 100 it becomes a generic martial arts manhwa. Sure, there are still parts where we can see him being a doctor, but it's seen more as a sideplot rather than the focus of the story. It's not even a good martial arts story huhu
i honestly feel like this isn’t objectively true because his past life as a physician is a frequent plot point in the story and he’s constantly treating people. i mean it’s set in a murim world, and considering the world building of it all, wouldn’t it make sense for him to also learn martial arts and be stupid strong? his main goal of saving his master is complete so of course there are developments that are less i guess to the “doctor” plot line but i feel like you’re exaggerating the loss of plot here.
I like how the manga still retains the original essence of Wuxia novels, but focusing on the BL aspect of it lmao.
The clothes look intricate, well made with attention to detail, and have obvious cultural influence, the backgrounds and sceneries look grand and clean, and are obviously not copy pasted art packs in every manhua/manhwa ever. And the world building is so polished that you can feel just how grand things are. I'm surprised this is rated at 9.1
ig the worst thing about this is the fact that its 9 chapters long and takes so long to upload. Other than that, deserves a rating of 9.5 or higher tbh
I love how this manga approaches the "ugly to beautiful" genre. That his reason for change is his
self-determination to help solve their problems. It's a breath of fresh air.
