MY OPIONION : it is so obvious Mr spirit is the main lead but i kind of want to see it happen. since in some sense he did raise her but didn't. Mr spirit only came during the winter and taught her the basics of life and about her powers kind of having a mentor role in her life, and she only saw and referred to him as an friend. Mr spirit isn't human so you do not know his age, he's a demi god spirit like being so i guess it makes this trope a bit more bearable
i personally didn't see the romance coming but i think it was well played. since she has to live longer than all her family and friends having the main lead be immortal and some she shares a deep bond with seems logical
i can see why people are disgusted since he did help raise her but overall i think his involvement is just a well played move and i think this manhwa actually did this trope well compared to others which just purely seems like borderline grooming.
And to finish of this trope overall is just borderline grooming and it is a blessing that doesn't get used a lot
this was too good. like i was looking back on manhwa's i used to read and didn't follow up, and damn was it the right decision. this really is mind boggling, the concept is so unique, it keeps you on your toes and it really is the master mind of giving hints without fully revealing where the story is going. its so good also because it ends in an happy ending, and doesn't make the character face an unnecessary ending
This is literally so good. I don’t care what anyone says. Like the romance was a bit off at some times but this was never a story about romance so I am happy they kinda of sidelined it and only focused on fighting and a parent relationship. But I really like how they hinted at the the end the mak su and the wood sect girl have a thing going on.(you know the eye contact I really want to see them together. Surprisingly I think it would work)
And to finally end this I think we might get a sequel and it won’t really be focused on noh but his children cause the brewing war of the imperial family and his late wife’s heritage still hasn’t been fully explored. So I think that in some years time if we are lucky they will continue this universe. Because the children’s life and fighting capabilities is something I hope to see in action and there is many cliff hangers and plot that hasn’t been fully developed because the story was never about that and continuing it would ruin the story
Overall one of the best martial arts/murim story out there, it manages to balance fighting life and family life well just like the title entails
