"to think that you're doing that useless thing again now is a shock to me" adksfjf yohan really cant keep his mouth shut huh. he needs to get his ass beat by his brother for a little bit lol then have a heartwarming talk and then go see mugyeong. seriously yohan is so funny; hes flawed but loveable lol.
everone is so sad but i find this cute/funn. yohan is so bad at expressing himself so everyone gets confused and then he gets sad omg. he should just talk to mugyeong (?) he wont be mad. soooo cute omg i love this manhua
Out of all of the characters, I would say that Yohan is the best at expressing himself. No matter how difficult the topic, he's never phased and always tries to talk it out.
I think the real problem is that he just doesn't have any experience with love. He tries to talk with the other characters about their feelings, but he doesn't understand their feelings. He just needs to grow as a person.
this is a late reply but thats what i meant. he says things bluntly and without tact so people think hes being rude or mean bc he doesnst properly relay his good intentions. like when he criticizes his brother or mugyeong he comes off as kind of asshole-ish to them but really he means to help. but he definitely is much more straight-forward than others
ok honestly i kept up with this manhwa to see if alex would ever change but. nope. this is absolute garbage there is no redemption and dg's friend needs to beat his ass. and to everyone saying dg is just as bad as alex, u should go google and read about abusive relationships. like seriously damn i hope yall never date people if u have that little compassion.
if you want to see a real abusive relationship, go read "a guy like you" and if he really was that bad, he won't even agree to a date at all since Alex don't see him has his romantic partner. at all. so yeas calm down from the hate ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Alex act like a dog here and it really isn't typicel in most yaoi or that Seme will wash their "sex partner's" after the sex.
Yep, let alone kiss them and stretch them out. It's usually just shove it in , obviously from the back , don't want to see that face now, then wham bam and out the door. That is even how some actual couples in yaoi behave let alone just "sex partners". Jiwon has been pretty considerate, yes he's not Mr affectionate, but at the end of the day DG isn't his boyfriend and he's already kissing him which is more than enough considering.
(▰˘◡˘▰)
u know i was gonna respond to this but yaoi fans love to delude themselves into thinking their favorite seme is a good person or whatever so fine. i said what i wantd to say and so did u but i know what abuse is and this is it. and maybe u shoud have some higher standards for what u want in another person before u pursue any relationships
I agree to some extent, since other manga's can be a lot worse.
It does remain, however, a terrible, abusive relationship, even if there are worse examples.
This is called the fallacy of relative privation, where the fallacy ignores problems by introducing bigger problems. It ultimately leads to a paradox, as there can always exist a bigger evil. Thus, I think your second point wasn't logical.
(I'm not a native English speaker, so apologies if I've made any grammatical errors. )
Sorry, but if you don´t see Alex changing you must be blind.. :)
It´s all for the sake of the story and anyway, people don´t change quickly..
But we´ve already seen Alex being taken aback by his feelings that seem to be new to him and it´s hilarious when he gets all shocked and surprised :).
It will take some chapters but he is getting there and if the writer does his/her job as masterfully as up to now it is going to be hilarious. :)
Byee, He said in the beginning that he wouldn’t be nice with DG, and DG choose to be with him. If you don’t like, don’t read it, it won’t make a difference for the author bc you’re reading here not in Lezhin
So if Alex warned DG that he 'wouldn't be nice' with him, it automatically makes up for his abuse? That's indicating that the abuse is DG's own fault. That sounds messed up, doesn't it?
That boi better be making amends for being an abusive asshole
many victims don't recognize abusive behaviour. I find Alex shoving a 10-inch dildo up DG's ass while he was pleading for him to stop a little more than warped. But I do agree, it's not just Alex that's flawed
No shit, we don't need a whole run down of why abuse victims justify the abuse or can't even recognise it as being abuse in the first place... why, because it's a fictional yaoi tale. You know yaoi, where logic goes out the window. Meaning DG despite being double penetrated wants to go on a date with his "good looking hyung" and thinks nothing of the event, they likely will both end up together.
And that is exactly my point. The 'yaoi logic' is applied to bad, poorly written concepts, such as this one. A good work would actually make a character resemble a person with depth, instead of this two dimensional character.
DG for example isn't the most realistic character. In real life if you found out your friend had an addiction to a sex cam website, and that they got a part time job solely to feed said addiction it wouldn't be regarded as "cute cinamonroll" behaviour now would it. Just as seeing a character like DG not being able to have any growth or realistic reaction to what he is facing, isn't reflective either. If the author portrayed him as stalker who is secretly manipulating Jiwon, or being an abuse victim that feels he deserves to be hurt "An easy target" for example, or as an adult that can tell someone to fuck of when needs be instead of currently this rather deluded fan boy that hasn't really had much character development. It's still early days though, and I think the pace of the plot and the characters are fine. It's yaoi reality, they are going to end up together and we as readers have to go through mental gymnastics and either accept or drop it. Shacking up with your super fan when you are scared your identity will be leaked isn't the best of ideas either. (⌒▽⌒)
There are different types of manhwa. Some do resemble reality, some are harlequin stories, some are reflecting some psychological even philosophical issues using this genre, and some use this genre to write fun and enjoyable stories.
You don´t expect James Bond to be realistic or less of a macho, because that would be the right thing..
Though I wasn't a big fan of 'An easy target' due to its heavy rape scenes, I think the writer handled the characters brilliantly. I absolutely despised them as people, but appreciated them as a part of the story.
And DG suits my argument just as much as Alex, but that wasn't the point. The point was that yaoi logic is just an excuse for poor writing.
I'm curious about the development of this story, so I'll stick a bit longer. (=・ω・=)
Right, I think Jiwon is using this as an excuse to justify his dickwad behavior. Also, he himself forgot about the deal when he was taking his jealousy out on DG with the dildo. For some reason DG is not reacting to the abuse like an average person. It's even not like he is hiding some kind of inner turmoil... more like he is just super resistant to taking punishment.
Of course not every fiction has to conform to the rational rules of our reality.
James Bond as a character may not be the most convincing spy, but that adds to his character. James Bond (work) treats themes such as murder seriously, without being a psychological/philosophical work. Our words and stories are all referencing to something in our reality, not concrete per say. (With the exception of genres like dadaism (absurdism), where that's the purpose, but that's another story.) A good work can take a lot of freedom and still make sense.
yeas I never thought a guy that only think of another has his "sex partner" will take the time to wash him after the sex. it dosn't go together no matter how you look at it, that's why it called a "sex partner". you don't care about the actuall parson after the sex, so Alex anger and actions show that he does in love with him even if he still an ass about it. I bet he become the dog soon enough XD
you...do get we read yaoi has a fiction story, right? and no I doubt anyone want someone like Alex has their real boyfriend in real life.
again you see type's of "Alex" = bad boy in straight romance movies too. I don't see you bother about that. twillight is a good example but not the only example that exist.
and I doubt most of the fans likes Alex. me, I just enjoy watching Alex suffer from the MC stupid actions.
again show me someone that have "sex partner" in yaoi that actually wash him after the sex? that not how sex partner's works ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I don't think Alex even get what a sex partner even is.
I think the majority of the commenters here agrees that films like twilight are absolute shit
Most people should remember Alex wasn't perfect from the start so his personality changing won't happen overnight so obviously it's gonna take some time. I c a little change in him even if he won't admits it, he got jealous thinking DG might leave him for MD (obviously he's starting to like him, and don't wanna c any other guy with him) it doesn't matter who the guy is
That was just to protect his precious bedsheets. As much as I would like Alex to fall, I doubt he would show it in any positive way at this point in the story, but I agree he does feel "something".
You haven't even waited to see character development and already dislike him? I mean give him and this author a chance. I know its been 39 chapters but tbh these chapters are quite short and the pace is pretty good so its not bad pacing either. If the author has good story telling skills then hopefully he'll start showing greater character development. PLUS, Alex is one of those characters that fits in a fantasy, especially a "rape fantasy"
Yep, it's only really been less than a month presumably in their time line, and already Jiwon is showing more development with his "struggles" with the ex etc. I've been reading a series that is around 10 years old and still ongoing, where the main characters still haven't got together, after 39 weekly chapters, this one is quite quick!
Well he smokes in other peoples homes and vapes in his own so I think he is particular about his house and possessions. The same nigh the dumped our boy DG to the curb. Again, I'm not saying he has no feelings, but I doubt he is affectionate at this point of the story.
washing someone is a thing that you do only to people you care about. so unless Alex really didn't have a choice, what he did have by the way, he could have just put him outside or something else like this, I don't see the point of taking upon himself to wash and clean him like he was his baby. you can say he was an asshole, and I do agree he was an asshole, but he don't act like a sex partner from the very start even before the jeaolsy part. so yeas, I wasn't surpise he got jealos or start to show much more things to the MC now. cause again, he don't act like a sex partner.
He isn't a rapist. Dong-gyun is completely smitten by Jiwon, so whether you like the characters or not, for the purpose of the plot you need to look at things from their perspective. DG manipulates the situation slightly by getting Jiwon to agree to going on a weekend trip, this triggers up trauma for Jiwon, and Jiwon feels he can't face DG anymore. Jiwon ends up drunk and physically reliant on Jiwon, clinging onto him, hugging him whatever. Jiwon doesn't hate DG, but from his perspective he puts up a barrier when it comes to getting close to others and having a proper relationship due to the ex, who says makes him want to vomit, so he must have been pretty awful to Jiwon.
When you shove a dick up someone's ass. After they already have a dildo in it and they're begging you to stop, saying that it hurts but you keep going. It's called rape, they didn't give their consent to what your doing. And you never asked for it. Who gives a fuck if he's just feeling trauma because of his ex. He's a rapist
That's the real world perspective, but from DG's perspective, you know that crazy thing called yaoilogic, he doesn't consider it to be assault or rape, and instead is still idolising his favourite hyung. Now, at least "An easy target" portrayed that a victim of abuse might not recognise they are being abused, and they make excuses for their abuser, don't feel they can have a life away from them etc, but this plot is not trying to show such a relationship. It's one MC who is a super fan, and another MC who has a trauma related to his ex and puts on a fake image, be it at university, or for his job.
ok idk if i can word this properly the main thing that really bothers me abou this is how the author is proceeding with the effect of the rape. like ik a lot of manga have rape in it now (which i hate) but in those its like the mangakas are kinda just like oh forced sex is hot or whatever and nothing really comes out of it. but in this one the mangaka literally wrote the rape as a traumatic experience. it wasnt like those stupid "oh jk it feels good now" but the guy (forgot his name) was scared, uncomfortable and anxious during and after the rape. basically, the mangaka wrote it like a realistic rape and not this stupid yaoi "fantasy" rape where it actually feels good. and then after that blonde guy isolates him from his friends and purposefully makes him uncomfortable (not to mention how he manipulated him by threatening to expose his secret) and i was like wow ok so this mangaka is gonna accurately depict rape thats new but then NO. we on this dumb "wow i actually like him!" bullshit again! so what im trying to say is what really bothers me is the fact that this mangaka didn't even diminish how horrible rape is and showed how traumatic it actually is but is STILL gonna make it that shittty ass plot of i liked him all along but its ok. like no. this is undeniably, inexcusably an abusive relationship and that blonde guy needs to go to jail fuck this. ALSO unrelated but even adding the rape in also was completely irrelevant to the plot unless the mangaka wanted to have that "pain porn" and angst which is shitty on their part if theyre not gonna have there be any repercussions. waste of a story
I agree with you, I think the rape was completely unnecessary and illogical, if you want somebody to like you, you do not rape them! I think the story would have been better if a kiss was forced in order to express his desire (which is less traumatic and can be forgiven) than rape which I do not think can be forgiven.
dang these chapters are too short. lihuan is too shy i feel to confront yuyang so idk how long we gotta wait until he gets the courage to ask and clear up the misunderstanding. also yall are crazy lmao the girl did nothing hes her friend and shes concerned and if she has feelings for him who cares lol?? shes not evil or anything
Idk whats wrong with everyone attacking the mom. I dont think she actually cheated on the blonde guy, he explained why they broke up so vaguely and tomoya justassumed. i think he probably broke up with her bc hes in love w tomoya. And a mother is allowed to want to see her kid tf ? Ik yaoi loves to portray women as evil but she literally didnt even do anything except go see HER child, how tf is she a bitch for that? The automatic hate boner yaoi readers have for women is insane bc ik most of the people reading this are women too
