Why can everything kill them?!
Can't even pick up a pen without being told it'll kill someone!
The plots so freaky sloppy too. Where is it even going?
Get rid ofvtge possed uncle? You introduced him not to long ago, but by doing so, you've completely ditched the original plot of fixing the novel(in story).
You made it so that she was loved automatically by her dad, the very thing she should have struggled for, and trapped yourself in a dead end.
Honestly, I want to drop this, but I feel obligated to see this through. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

huh but fixing the novel wasn't her goal??
athy never planned to be loved by him anyways but she somehow got his affection BC "ORIGINAL" ATHY HAS A TOTALLY DIFF PERSONALITY TO OUR ATHY
and so she was like "eh he already took interest in me so why not just go with it" — ends up getting attached and *trapped herself in a dead end*
bye

Yeah I'm not explaining this right. I just meant that it feels like they put a lot of stock in the og in story novel, but just kind of made it irrelevant now. Which isn't inherently bad. I just wished it was done better.
You're absolutely right about the not trying to gain his love thing. She was only trying to gain his affection when she realized she could survive that way.

Some people are wondering about the significance of the dance partner, so I'm going to explain it the best of my abilities.
I don't know if it applies to this series, but your first dance at a ball is either with a relative, your guard, or someone they fancy.
The dice was definitely weighted so that the guard would not be chosen. Since that wouldn't ruin his reputation.
If her brother's fiance was chosen, it would have been scandalous.
With the Duke, rumors will spread about a possible union.
Not to mention her awful dancing will add punch to anything that happens

I don't think Carmendy's mom knows if that's true or not.
I think that b*tch just told a bunch of lies to her mom to get the duke in an arranged marriage.
I also think this is the cousin's plan to mess with Iris. Which shouldn't be going so well.
Iris has no reason to believe Carmendy or her mom, nor a reason to doubt the duke. I also can't belive they didn't just go back in there and clear up the confusion immediately with his mom.
Gotta get that drama somehow (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
The audacity of this prince!
You lost at the one thing you were praised for! All you have left is your side chicks, and now you're throwing them away!
You. Have. Nothing.
