A lot of people here are reminding others that the prince in this timeline isn't the same as the prince in the previous timeline. Which is true, because it's not fair to base people on who they might become in the future. But also, I would like to extend that to princess azuela.
She is also just a child here. Even though she is committing awful deeds now, and will surely be written off as an irredeemable villain from birth, she is only acting on her mother's word.
She's far too young to understand that her mother's words are false. Especially because she's been taught not trust anyone but her mother.
