There's multiple points in this story where Wookyung should've used the safe word. Its supposed to be there to keep you safe and establish a trusting relationship with your partner.
Wookyung is too anxious about 'pleasing' his dom that he isn't taking himself into account, which is common for most newcomers in BDSM. He thinks that by using the safe word everything stops (the play and the relationship) and there'll be some kind of disappointment. In reality, people tend to have multiple safe words/actions; which indicate "i need a break", "slow down" etc.. Its heavily important.
Wookyung and 'Sir's dynamic is in 9/10 cases what NOT to do in a BDSM partnership
I really spent like 3 hours reading this for it to end up at grooming. What a class act this author is. Also the continuation of the story is so off that it doesnt even seem like the author planned this. Ever since they found out Ina was a devil the story fell apart. The part when Dr. Park said "this is our home marry me" seemed so abrupt like the author was like "I'm tired of writing romance lets wrap it up".
It was fun while it lasted
I've always thought about these kind of "i tamed a/ married a/ ran away from a [insert yamdere synonyms here]" plots and how it would go if the FL was actually like "fuck it imma kms" or the "i will bring ur kid and leave FOR REAL". Usually the ML has some fucked up advantage to force FLs to stay but in this case there was nothing he could do. I wonder if he's going to figure out a way to use the child as leverage, but i doubt the success of that as she seems heavily detached to the baby.
BUT, as always, this shit isnt cute at ALL in real life. Wilhelm does not love Reinhart. True love is placing your love's happiness over your own selfish desires. Y'know the saying "if you love them you'll let them go"?
I think Reinharts biggest gripe with Wilhelms decision is not just that he purposely tried to kill Dietrich knowing how badly it'd affect her,but also being so quick and willing to betray someone who was his teacher and someone who cared for him.
So read spoilers but i think this story is so predictable that everyone could've guessed it. Not that that's bad though! Stories that are familiar are reliable.
Yes the duke is Anita's real father. The emperor and his mistress (NOT the empress she's innocent!) used black magic to kill the Duchess and all witnesses of Anita's birth, and curse Anita. The marquis was also cursed by the emperor to keep the fact that Anita wasnt his child a secret.
The reason why the Duke didnt figure this out until late in the story is because the emperor tampered with the ancient relics and even sent in a fake daughter (yes theres a fake daughter arc) Also most of the people who knew anything about the Duchess and child's disappearance were killed or cursed to forget.
The emperor had a big inferiority complex and didnt like the fact that both the Duke and Archduke bore children with divine powers. The mistress was also skilled in black magic so she provided him access to keeping them down. But it came at a great cost.
Also rest assured Axion, Arabella and even the Crown Prince are good people and not snakes.
There are alot of cliches in this but there's enough uniqueness to it that I'd say its worth reading. I also left out a lot of points
So in the end J says that its a pact before disappearing when Mako promised to say his name for eternity. I wonder if its a real pact just like the one Mako has with D and S. For Mako to get the end to his loneliness, he has to break the pact by not calling Jonathan anymore.
But because of Mako's obsession with J, he will not and will continue to suffer for a long time and disappear the hard and long way.
What a beautiful way to show how deep inside Makoto is still under J and was only fooling himself the entire time.
Also, I think this shows the parallels between J and Makoto. J's love for W eventually turned into hate, which made him destroy his master after he rejected him. But in Makotos case, his hate turned into love (or moreso obsession) and he destroyed J by promising to love him by saying his name. In the manga both Hate and Love were distinctly mentioned as being things that could shatter a demon.
People assume he did but it’s kinda more complicated. Essentially it’s a cycle. A demon becomes incredibly powerful that now they can’t die, they find a young weaker demon (or human) that has some sort of intense desire (could be a desire to survive or a desire for power but it needs to be strong), powerful demon decides to take the younger/weaker demon and groom him into a perfect demon lord, younger demon becomes more powerful and more obsessed/in love with the older/more powerful demon, eventually younger demon surpasses older demon, older demon says the name of the younger demon allowing them to die.
Which makes me wonder if Wald was the dart of this cycle or continuing it. I would kill for a younger Wald-centric chapter.
Mister doing all this and trying to be a dom when that wasn't the agreed upon relationship is majorly scummy. These are the kinds of people that get kicked out of BDSM communities.
