I think this series will hopefully reveal more of Sangwoo's backstory, and show how he like Bum is also the victim of abuse and has mental health problems rather than how he first came off a simplistically as being "the killer" previously. From what is seen it wouldn't be surprising if it turned out Sangwoo was sexually abused by his mum, or had an extremely codependent relationship. In the last series he was having flashback to the verbal and emotional abuse his mum inflicted on him. It is worth mentioning though that despite this abuse, he only painted his dad in a negative light showing he hasn't yet accepted that his mum was also neglectful.
Hi! from this chapter, the mom in sangwoo's dreams is someone who never looked at him and of whom he doesn't remember her face. That's weird since he seems attached to her in some way. I'm wondering if he kills those who show affection to him because of his mother--be in negligence or otherwise. However, interestingly, her image is warped over by Yoon Bum or Yoon Bum takes the place of Sangwoo's mother. Yoon Bum is sexually attracted to Sangwoo, but the dream shows him holding sangwoo against his stomach. I'm assuming this is sort of Sangwoo's ideas of his mother imprinted onto Yoon Bum. I'm wondering if she was also kind of creepy in her way of loving him.
In the previous series it showed Sangwoo put his head under Bum's top and he put his face on his stomach, before making a comment like "it reminds me of my mum" "or "It's like I'm back in the womb". Maybe this action was something he used to do with his mum, so sees it as a comfort which he regresses too. I think Sangwoo also has a personality disorder, like Bum but it manifests itself differently. However, just as Bum has vivid scary delusions (that clown chapter, and Sangwoo's creepy smiling face), Sangwoo has delusions about his mum, an now Bum is making an appearance in his trauma). Bum being sexual towards Sangwoo, might be triggering up memories of his mother;s abuse or causing conflict in his idea of his idealised, perfect mother (that never existed) being shattered as he in his delusions thinks she is bum.
