Korean, just like in japanese, has a tendency to omit subjects from sentences so translating can be a little tricky if there's no obvious gender "tips". Personally I would've gone with they/them until anything else pops up but to each their own!
At this point I think the "he" is a mistranslation because the Samsin Halmeoni is traditionally a female deity.

Honestly what they're doing isn't even bad enough to want death upon them, they're just emotionally stunted teenagers who felt betrayed I don't think either of them are evil especially since Rik genuinely felt bad after they had that conversation (not saying that means he should be forgiven but it shows that he what doing it just because he's "evil")
