Trash created a topic of Ashita wa Docchi Da!

TLDR: Mangas have a different publishing process than manhuas/manwhas. It’s not that people aren’t updating this, just that the author is still working on the next volume and hasn’t released it yet!

So there’s different types of, what i guess you can call, “comics” from different countries. In Korea it’s called manwha, in China it’s called manhua, and in Japan it’s called manga. (I hope I’m spelling these romanized versions of the word right.)

Manwha and manhua’s are similar with how the “comic” is present. They are usually one panel, with minimal text, and is coloured. These are usually made by a 1 to 3 people. These consists of the writer, illustrator, and the editor.

The writer is the one who... well... writes the story. The illustrator draws the story and makes the writers ideas come to life. The editor is the one who supervises the whole project, gives critics, and set deadlines. It’s common for the writer and illustrator to be the same person. I’m not sure how common authors actually have editors, but editors also help the story move along. Because there’s usually a team behind manwhas and manhuas the process moves along quicker. Not to mention most of these are digital art, so they can reuse panels from the other chapters, and one panel with not that much text! Mangas on the other hand...

Mangas, to what I understand, has a longer process. Most of the time it’s one person doing all the drawing and writing. Also, instead of being released weekly, mangas are release by volumes with multiple chapters.

In short, it’s not that people aren’t uploading this, it’s just that the author is still working very hard to make the next volume!
