No one said he was innocent and he never said he was innocent, a character can change through the story, he also made it clear he didn’t want anything to do with him after getting hurt because of him. Also this is supposed to be an angst story and was never meant to have a good ending but bc of everyone hating on this ending, the author decided to continue, also I would hope that he wouldn’t be that quick to go back to him?? And taking Luan for granted?? How?

Yeah he didn't say he was innocent he was just acting like it (i never said he said it in the first place), but saying that hurtful shit in front of the fortune teller with luan in the room and underestimating luan's feeling as "being stuck in the past" does not make him any different from everyone doing the same to luan and treating him like a child like he does not have the maturity to love someone for 11 long years, luan has so many things to lose but does not care, and is actively sacrificing himself for him, i understand that luan did order for him to be beaten up but his reasoning was really valid considering people have been trying to take advantage of him since he was a child, and even tricked to being a count in promising that he would be with clauden, he messed up and he apologized and is doing everything to win him back, clauden's indifference is just dragging that one mistake for too long

Sure but you can't ignore the other criticism i gave towards his past actions and character and that definitely adds weight to his "jokes" to a mentally ill and poor stricken individual even in the context of a relationship, there's still some sense of consideration to your partner? I'm not gonna joke or call my loved ones or partner names especially in such a vulnerable state

It was only meant to make the mood lighter.Some people, even the victims, jokes around their own trauma. Yes, jokes aren't meant to be used in a serious situtation, allthough sometimes, it kinda does help to lighten up the atmosphere. Wowoon definetly knows that Seo an didn't mean that Wowoon is actually "dumbass" and he's def not offended by it. It's like telling your naughty friend or gf/bf "silly" or "stupid". It depends on people's relationship, some might not be comfortable to jokes deeply around their partner and it's fine, some take jokes seriously which shouldn't be a problem since it's normal, but some couples do like jokes even in a serious situation just to not add a problem or to lighten up the mood. Both are not a toxic relationship. Though Seo an needs to communicate with Wowoon with his own problem too, to not create more misunderstanding, that's all what Seo an is lacking. But he is a great bf for assuring and just being there for Wowoon's side. He loveshim and takes care of his needs, and vice versa

You're missing the point of what i said, the joke itself is fine, but with the added context of seo an being condescending and treating him like an object throughout the story is what i have an issue about he had the choice to be a bit more compassionate and choose his words CAREFULLY especially of all the shit he's been through the guy has been having ptsd and panic attacks his dad just died ffs, and seo an also admitted he forced himself on him AFTER he just got violated in the party that's a very questionable decision honestly, and him thinking woowon will agree with him taking him abroad UNDEFIANTLY is textbook toxic lol and yeah i do think he should communicate more but besides that what he did and has been doing is pretty jarring especially from someone who experienced SA and a toxic relationship.

If his whole personality is being a rude motherfucker with no nuance when it comes to emotional and crucial moments and in CH 70+? where's the character development? He's been selfish ever since they started dating

Yes, my apologies, I see what you're pointing out, all I'm talking about here was about the joke part, Though I can say that their relationship is kinda toxic because of Seo an's actions. I do believe that he would still get his character development, hopefully. Both of them should get a theraphy especially Wowoon who's abusive father just died infront of him, also Seo an's anxiety and his mentally abused self because of his father's pressure. And im so sorry for your past SA and abusive relationship, no one deserves to be treated like that. I was in an abusive relationship, he was a ped0phile, though good thing I'm free from that, No one should EVER experience that.That's all hope you have a Good day

I agree no one should be subjected to such actions, and i'm really sorry for your experience as well and for bringing out such a dark topic, i'm not trying to win the argument or get sympathy points but only pointing out and explaining my opinions based on my experience and reality, and hopefully these kind of dynamics doesn't get romanticized and deemed "normal" or "quirky cuz we're desensitizing people to recognize abuse from loving banter, hopefully the characters can have a development as the story goes, i'm not uncomfortable by any means reading the story as there are worse ones out there just put off, and thank you for understanding have a good day!
