adrenaline makes you say things you wouldn’t other ways confess. and people also get uncharacteristic when they experience near-death/traumatic things, the man you love could’ve been brutalized and killed. idk i liked it

Agreed. It happens so much in BL where the immediate "solution" or resolution offered to the victim of sexual assault is sex with their true love. That's just not how that kind of trauma works and really does make a reader feel as if the violence never happened.

Yeah, it’s a very common trope. I get how sometimes adrenaline can ‘speed’ things up but like…confessing and boinking right there? And in the entryway where it happened, no less? I’m srsly side-eyeing them rn
