look, there exists people who are confused about their gender and there are those who just don't really care and let's say maybe jiwoon is one of those but I've seen and read enough manhwas to know what this type of narrative is trying to convey and it's kind of undermining things

Love is subjective, sexualities are to identify myself, but do I really need it? No. So I don’t care if I’m gay or bi, I personally like any genders. It’s also true that you can like the same gender but not be gay, lesbian, etc. Labels aren’t the most needed. It’s different for everyone of course I know. Many are raised differently, how much they are exposed to the fact love is subjective, not just labels.
But I do agree that authors tend to make it seem like dominant ones can’t be like this or that, same for the bottoms.

Oh my, thank you so much for saying this. I'm glad you understand even though I only found out later how poorly worded my statement was. I kind of went off a bit because I noticed there seems to be a pattern among popular manhwas in regards to my concern.
And it's also true what you said about being labeled or strongly identifying to a gender has no reason to be a hindrance in falling in love. More so, inside of it is an umbrella term full of concepts fitting human complexities. There are those who want to find where they belong and there are just people who don't want to be bothered at all. It indeed different for each and everyone.
This line actually felt like the opposite to me though. Most yaois do that "it doesn't matter if I'm gay or straight" thing and yeah that can get annoying because it's problematic with its overuse, but here he's actually saying he's an mlm either way.
I.e. breaking down that biphobic assumption suha's making that bi ppl will always leave you for a straight person.
