Okay as someone who is reading this novel i don’t think this chapter is filler, it made his connection to Hirose which he will have many interactions with later in the story.
Ikr? I dont understand why people don't see the relevance of two things:
1. Hirose and her student has eyed him as very relevant to the classical music scene
2. He didnt accept her offer because that would have established his grandfather's desire to push him into it when all he wanted was stay with him during those 5 years.
That's 2 points more than how some manhwas don't even contribute to the story and leave with a cliffhanger. This one adds resolve to how much he's willing to postpone his music career.
