She doesn't have the right to refuse, and even if she *did* say something, what her mother has told her has been deeply ingrained in her way of life. Why are you getting mad at someone who doesn't even have the privilege to make her own choices, let alone be morally straight in said uncontrollable choices. Why not think about the people in power who are throwing their position around by not only ruining one girl's life but also not bothering to check how their so called "kindness" is affecting Helena's. She's just trying to survive in that messed up world man. Anyone would do the same in her position, I see no one deciding to risk being killed or worse just to stick to their lofty ideals in that situation, unless they're absolute fools.

Not that I don't understand your frustration with her though, but like, just think about where she's coming from. If anyone is trash here, which they are, it's literally like that dumbass prince and his dumbass mum. And probably every other character aside from FL and Anakin.
