his backstory just made him look like an idiot honestly, like I don't get others who hurt others the same way they got hurt, like I don't want others more so my loved ones the same pain I have endured

It’s not right to call someone an idiot because of that. It’s not uncommon. That’s why they say to “break the cycle”. Sometimes easier said than done. I’m no expert but sometimes people don’t know how to change a behaviour they learned and will project it to others even if it’s something that hurt them in the past. I could speak from experience (will not elaborate). I’m aware I have to change, but it’s like an automatic response sometimes, and I always reflect afterwards. I’m glad he has the chance to change. Of course it’s tragic that they have to go through a “second life” for them to get along or whatever, but they’re given a second chance. His backstory doesn’t make him look like an idiot. It gives a reason to his actions. It doesn’t excuse his actions, but I don’t see why he can’t be allowed to learn and improve.

Okay, mr or miss or whatever perfect lol. You know what being an idiot is? Being narrow minded and focusing on ideal situations instead of being open to all kinds of situations. People make mistakes. It’s the reality of life. It’s just up to the person to change which is not always easy. My favorite saying goes “everyone has the chance to change but not everyone will change”. It was a bad comparison because the character and I’s situation are different in a sense but sure, I’m an idiot because I brought it up. But the point was that no one is perfect. People who judge right away and easily throw insults around just annoys me. Oh well, it’s a story, not that deep so whatever. You should be reading fairytales instead so you can find and judge ‘perfect’ characters. Bye.
I wonder when will the romance progress, or is this one of those, it will progress right before divorce? lol
