Well all of the girls Sangwoo had killed before he met Bum were mostly rich and pretty girls but one thing that made Sangwoo kill them was probably they all didn't look like his mother, or at least they didn't act like his mother at all. The only reason Bum was spared was because he didn't beg for Sangwoo's mercy like all the other girls did and his face reminded Sangwoo of his mother.
