The story is a hot mess, the fl just unlikable and repeating same mistakes over and over again (distrusting the ones she should trust and trusting the ones she shouldn't), also the art is kinda deteriorating, but somehow it still got me reading, so what the hell is diz haha

This is just such a masterpiece, truly a gem among action manwha's. The distinctive art, the story itself, the pacing, everything is just perfect. I was really sad and shocked when i read the main artist passed away. Because this manwha is so enjoyable and touching, it feels like the artist is a good friend that tells you a great story with his art. May he rest in peace, I am very thankful for this amazing manwha he left as a legacy.

Am I the only one that miss the old art style? The new one is nice but I feel it is quite generic, lot of art are like that. The old one has more a distinctive feel to it?

I thought the ML would be one of those overbearing and dominant male leads that will harass the MC, but he turned out to be a soft cinnamon roll, very cute. The side character with the glasses is also the cutest. The whole manhua is very wholesome and sweet (=・ω・=)

I haven’t read a manhua before that kinda makes me tear up from beginning to end before (by the end it was more crying with heartbreak than tearing up), so i want to leave my thoughts about it here.

This story is not only about love, faithfullness, loyalty, broken promises and cheating. It’s actually a good representation of real life and that the choices that we make will have consequences. There are lessons to be learned from this, for the characters and by reading this for us readers as well.

Jiang Wenxu/Adolph: the obvious lesson would be don’t cheat for him, but more than that is that he should have appreciated and value Zhishu when he was around. He was taking him for granted, neglecting and hurting him emotionally and later physically when Zhishu was with him, and only misses him when he was gone. Having regrets, knowing you are the one who wrecked it all and wishing you could do things over/differently is one of the most painful punishment there is, for this will torment one mentally, emotionally and physically (body follows heart and mind). He felt that Zhishu went away without giving him a second chance, but everytime Zhishu stayed with him after him not coming home, cheating on him, slapping him and even raping him is giving him chances over and over. Gosh, he had like a zillion chances from Zhishu but he was too blind, too narcistic to see it.

Zhishu/Lewis: He loved Jiang Wenxu more than anything else, even himself. Giving everything to him untill there is little left for himself (sense of self, a career, place in society, friends and family). So when things go wrong and the love is turning toxic he could not say anything or just leave. Having no place he could directly go to and also being so attached to Wenxu and committed to a relationship that has gone bad makes it too hard to leave...It’s so important to love yourself, even if there is someone you love. Cause there is always a probability that the other person’s love will change and do you wrong, that’s when love of oneself will help to keep going on and leave a crappy situation. Reading him having regrets about falling out with his parents, not going to med school (subconsciously) and not listening to his grandma really breaks my heart. Yeah, don’t sacrifice your life for anyone my dears, it could come back to bite/haunt yah...
When Zhishu was thinking he was back in his high school days with Wenxu with his last breath i think it was one of the most bitter sweet moments, because Zhishu had wanted to go back to his highschool days since those were his most happy times. Zhishu’s last moments were warm and comfortable because of dr. Ai and he seems to be at peace and in a good place at his final moment...but for Dr. Ai it must have been traumatizing because he knows he is not the person Zhishu talks to. I think this is really realistic, even if the reason knows Wenxu is a d*ck, one cannot just get over a 14 year relationship emotionally and lingering attachments that easily. He also mentioned that loving Wenxu became a habit...

Shenshui (young plaything of Jiang Wenxu): i know a lot ppl hate his guts and thinks he deserves to die. But i find him pitiful and a victim of his choices as well. In a sense he is also a bit like Zhishu. He didn’t know that Jiang Wenxu was in a relationship untill a year in after they were together, by that time he was too much in love and involved already to call it quits (makes me wonder what is so good about Wenxu, he must be very charismatic or freaking good in bed i guess, cuz he seems cold, arrogant and with bad temper to me). Anyhow, by the end he was also thinking he gave up everything for love, his dignity, his beloved dog, his sense of self and got litlle left except for his life. But then it also got taken... i felt sad for him as well honestly. If he cuts his loses and moved on after knowing Wenxu was already involved with someone else or when he broke up with him he would have lived on. He was still young, enough time for him to get over it and find someone else. Time does heal a lot of things...and honestly, Wenxu was not worth it.

Dr. Ai: He is kinda perfect so i don’t think there is a real lesson in the story for him? (￣∇￣")
But if i really have to mention one, it would be not to fall in love with a terminally ill patient and get your heart broken...but then some will argue it’s better to have loved and lost than never have loved. So this dr. Ai is a brave one and acting true to his heart...hence he is perfect...

Anyways, this story is a real gem, makes me feel so much for these characters and cry buckets of tears...thanks for reading this and i am happy to read other ppl’s comments and to share mine here. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
