Here is my theory, Chanwoo was so broken up seeing someone else kissing Myung Dae that he said THE WRONG SAFE WORD, but this was also a signal for Myung Dae that he knew he has crossed the line and had to stop. Myung Dae and Chanwoo are dysfuctional but it's clear that both of them have feelings for one another. second, there's only so much ways any story can go. stories aren't always about reinventing the wheel or being unique or surprising or subverting expectations like the disaster that was season 8 of game of thrones was according to DnD. plot points just need to be believable and sincere for them to be memorable and impactful in a story. they just need to make sense, and they need to be within the realm of the story's reality. you're not here to read the next shakespear or the modern day john grisham nor stephen king. this is a freaking gay webtoon on the internet for christ's sake.
third, if you want "originality" and ~depth~, stop reading webtoons. god.
Such butthurt because someone had the audacity to point how yaoi normalises, trivialises and romantices abuse? And this author showed for the n time how tactless their writting is by Chanwoo and MD's couple. They just love their abusive, toxic semes. The side story could have been light-hearted portrayal of healthy BDSM but nope we got coercion, mental manipulation and once again victim apologising more than abuser. Clap clap
