I have a personal theory that Claudia and him knew each other and were friends in the past, it's silly I know lol. I just think it'll be sweet for some reason. I also think Polaris knew Claudia too or he probably was just friends with Vincent and working at the Phantomhive manor. I think this because he cares too much about the Phantomhive's so he must have had a close relationship with the past Phantomhives (Claudia and Vincent).
