Why is noone talking about Gale and the mother - father thing??? WTH was that?? Can someone please explain that to me - was it the father or the mother abusing him? Or both?? Or was it something else? Was Simon also abused like that?? Its seroiusly fucked up and I`m starting feeling sorry for that guy...
Gale and Simon are technically half brothers. They have differnt mothers, same father. The black hired woman is Gale's biological mother and the blonde haired woman who you see as an angel that Simon hallucinates is his biological mother who died when he was a child and he was sent to live with his father. Simon is older than Gale. They are saying that Simon's mother was killed but it was classfied as a suicide. Gale's mother died in a similar way as Simon's, So, they are questioning if both of their deaths were suicides or if Alstair did it. They doth have similar DNA because they are brothers, so they share some form of DNA just like you would with siblings. The thing is, Simon's DNA doesnt fully match Gale's, so they can't really use that evidence even if they think that Gale's dead---in which he is very alive.
I think it was BOTH the mother and father sexually abusing him.
Gale was bleeding between his legs, which would imply that his dad forcefully inserted himself inside of Gale.
Gale also said ''Mom is also my first woman'' when he left that bedroom. Calling someone ''your first woman'' means that they are the first woman you have had sex with.
During the bedroom scene you can see the blood dripping from Gale's legs, probably because of forcible anal-sex and you can also see that his mother's hands were clutching his wrists, as if she was on top of him at some point.
I feel really sorry for Gale. It sort of got overshadowed with all the other bad things happening and Gale turning into pretty bad guy. But you can't help but pity him too.
That was such a beautiful and wholesome story, it left me with an awe. The ending was so cute and nostalgic. And I am sure they all will be alright because the have each other and found their peace on earth. They can rest now.
