I’m confused, sad, mad, pissed off, upset, crying, sobbing, pissing, miserable, dejected, wretched, glum & blue.
I hope the side stories aren’t reality. It just doesn’t make much sense. Not only that, I really enjoyed all the emotions that came with the main story. I feel like it made sense he died. But I’m confused as to why. And how. I want a backstory on Maximin, showing his point of view, how long he’s been planning things, why he was so under malnourished and what exactly was going thru his head doing everything. NOT ONLY THAT, WHO WAS THAT GIRL IN THE END?? DID I MENTALLY SKIP THAT PART OVER THAT EXPLAINED WHO SHE WAS??
Heha also His blindess was probably the most confusing for me. The layout was goofy and I didn’t understand when he started going blind, if he was still ‘blind’, and if his uncle & father even knew about it. I don’t believe there was anything that said he has a brother, so how was that new guy related in anyway? Perhaps I’m over complicating things? Am I just so emotionally ruined after reading this? Has my mind gone completely insane? Sigh… all I know is my favorite character was Maximin.
I think u should calm down first, then reread again. On the second time, you will realize a lot of things you didn't on the first. (u'll experience the pain again

That shown girl in the end, it was his father's new wife. That old king married that young girl but Max wanted to save her life from all the drama that went on in that royal family cuz she was innocent... Max was going blind from the very beginning of the story.. its only when he started losing his vision slowly that he started planning the entire thing... He knew the royal family needs to be overthrown for that country to achieve its prosperity.. and he also knew only jean can make it possible... So in all the panels he was drawing jean he couldn't clearly see Jean.. and even in the sex scene and most of the scenes shows his eyes closed.. he couldn't even see jean through the window when he first came to meet Max..
You really need to reread it and focus on the details maybe

I lowkey hated the new adaption. The novel is so bloody amazing, I recommend reading that before hopping into the movie.. or the new series adaption.
