I desperately wish for when we get to see the big cry fight with Ian’s mother desperately trying to hold on to whatever is left of his good reputation, and trying to gain pity by saying stuff like he’s all she’s got left and if he’s not perfect then she’ll feel like she failed as parent but also failed her husband who had to leave so early. And I hope Ian lets her know that the only reason he kept doing the stuff he hated was exactly because of that. But how much longer does he have to keep giving away his life for her? When is it gonna be his turn to live, when can he say no?

This is so nerdy bro, why are they making science into peak fiction here?? I’m used to magic being like math but this shit is just straight up hardcore math and science.
