koreans LOVE the "we met sometime in the past trope". I honestly think that backstory wasn't necessary and the story would still be the same i mean, they've been band mates for years, it's pretty understandable if eunho liked him sometime during their early years or even during trainee days.
overall, i enjoyed the whole story. i love jaewon's character development kinda feel like something's missing so i hope we get side stories
