this was ( I will admit ) the first time I wanted a happy ending , and I did (somewhat) just not the ending I wished for. I'm glad that they're all happy in their own way, and that the story was realistic on it's own. a gangster would never give up their entire life for a guy they love, first loves aren't always endgame, and that you can love someone without wanting to get with them. love and happiness comes in all forms and sizes, theirs was not romantic. and i think I will be okay with that.
