I think Pearl Boy could've been interesting without all the rape and incest aspects. I feel like people overlook how honestly messed up the contexts of Pearl Boy are, especially with it being one of the most "famous" and popular stories. There are tons of BL stories that don't have an ounce of rape and still are amazing stories. It's a shame that the rape aspects are overlooked and justified as 'plot points' because, in my opinion, there are other stories that deserve the popularity more than Pearl Boy. Yes, the art is beautiful and very well done, but man are the plot points just absolute trash. It's a shame people can't even recognize that the ML raped the MC, too, but he's labeled as a green flag (despite organizing the rape of a character who had nothing to do with the torment of the MC)

I thought only one of the twins knew? I thought the younger twin had nothing to do with jooha cuz we only ever saw the older one interacting with jooha. Either way, it doesn't justify him organizing a gang rape, he's no better than the original antagonist

Exactly, dooshik using him as revenge for the twin brother (or whatever his intentions were) was messed up. Rape shouldn't be justified for any reason, but it's depressing that dooshik instead did it to the more "innocent" twin just to get at the one who actually did harm to jooha, hence why I feel like he's no better than pilwon (I can't remember how to spell his name) when he used gang rapes against jooha
