Like honestly remember that these two different industries have two different writing styles. If you are more wholesome, try to expect your tastes to be more along shounen-ai or KR Yaoi. JP Yaoi is more likely to harbor more mature and dangerous content since the expected audience are more mature and less impressionable audiences.
On my opinion I think it's ok to read this if you know how to separate fiction from reality. For example killing stalking, it literally depicts toxic relationship and murder but that doesn't mean the person reading it would like to do the same or approve of it. I read this because I'm intrigue and that doesn't mean I approve of it. If you think it's wrong then do what you want, but just remember that a lot of us KNOWS how to separate fiction from reality.
