Um I haven't read that in a long time but the author created two seperate endings because the fandom was split into two ships, Chiwoo x Kyujin and Chiwoo x Jihyun. Author him created different endings to satisfy us readers. But in the actual story, Chiwoo ends up with Kyujin. Hope this helped?

The dream thingy was like a "parallel universe" where Chiwoo had a healthy relationship with Jihyun. It's not apart of the actual story but just another option for how the story ends. Sorry I suck at explaining ╮(￣▽￣)╭
