Even if his dad had an arranged marriage or whatever they had a whole ass son and responsibilities like if he had even a grain of respect for his wife as his partner he would make it clear from the beginning that he was a married man to fl's mother and not bring her into his household (assuming that they had some kind of romantic escapade in the fl's mother's hometown and he convinced her to come to his home but like if she knew he was married from the beginning even she's so questionable???) even the fl's mother is so weird like why stay in a place in an ambiguous position with someone else's husband like she took her time to do the right thing and break things up with the duke even though it was pretty clear what she should've done from the beginning.
