I think that the chase arc is not happening or at least not the way expect. I think dan still likes jaekyung and i think the grandma is gonna be the bridge between the two since jaekyung listens to grandma a little bit. dan and Jaekyung parallel each other in terms of being alone. Jaekyung is alone because he doesn't trust anyone and dan is afraid to be alone but is about to be and he knows he have to accept it. but yeah I don't think jaekyung is suddenly in love with dan here, maybe the character development is when he talks to grandma and when jaekyung experience first hand the moment dan lose his grandma.
